Job overview
We are seeking a Distribution and Logistic Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in coordinating deliveries, managing our fleet, and supervising our delivery team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Main Responsibilities:
Coordinate Deliveries:
- Organise and schedule deliveries to customers’ sites according to the company’s established routes and destinations.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of all company products to local and regional customers.
- Reallocate stock in the event of vehicle change
Supervise Delivery team:
- Oversee distribution activties of all drivers and van helpers to ensure adherence to delivery schedules and company procedures.
- Conduct job interviews, regular performance evaluations and provide necessary support.
- Assist delivery team during peak periods and in the event of emergencies.
Fleet Management:
- Track vehicle conditions and schedule regular maintenance and mandatory inspections.
- Ensure all vehicles are well-maintained and comply with road safety regulations and company policies, have up-to-date documentation, including licenses and insurance.
- Monitor supply of diesel to onsite diesel tank and its usage.
Qualifications, skills & experience
- Minimum HSC holder
- Excellent organizational and coordination skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Word, Excel and tools for logistics management.
- Related work experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge in automotive mechanics is an advantage.
Other Requirements:
- Valid private car driving license.
- Ready to work outside of normal working hours when required.
